Get results in days, not monthsResults in days, not monthsA common assumption says Auburndale is a pass-through, a place you cross on the Polk Parkway between Lakeland and Winter Haven. The numbers disagree. Population rose 28.2% between 2020 and 2023, to 20,011 residents, 23.1% of residents are under 18, and more than 1,000 single-family lots were in some stage of development in 2019. Those households stay, they need a roofer, a dentist and a pizza on Friday, and many of them are searching on a phone before they know a single local name.
Running Google Ads in Auburndale means separating those newcomers from tournament visitors at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex and from workers along the I-4 belt, then giving each group its own message. Our plans include search campaigns, landing pages for every service, call and form tracking, and a monthly report from a dedicated account manager, with Bing Ads and Meta Ads added when they fit. No setup fee and no contract apply, and billing is monthly.

Local demand
Newcomers dominate the opportunity. Lake Mariana Reserve on Dairy Road was reported in 2019 as the city's first new subdivision in about 10 years, a 2021 TV report forecast about 2,800 new homes over five years, and Lake Mattie Preserve is planned for 824 homes. With a median home value of $229,400 (typical Florida city: $297,700) and 32.9% of households renting, people move here from elsewhere and have no provider list. Ads that say how soon you can come, what the first visit costs and which streets you serve answer the questions a new household asks first.
Geography complicates targeting. Auburndale shares borders with Lakeland, Lake Alfred, Polk City and Winter Haven, so a customer can cross three city names on one errand. Location settings must follow real service areas, not postal labels, and ad text that names the street or landmark works better than the city alone. 20.9% of workers commute 45 minutes or more, well above the typical city, and only 9.4% work from home, so before-work and after-work windows deserve extra attention on phones.
The household picture is family-heavy and fairly mainstream. Median household income is $67,661, nearly the same as the $67,722 typical city, the median age is 39.3 and 17% of residents are 65 or older (20% is typical). Only 18% of adults hold a bachelor's degree, against 33% typical, and 12.3% speak Spanish at home, close to the 12.6% typical. In plain terms, ads should be direct and practical, and a separate Spanish campaign is a modest test, not a first priority.
Crowding sits at the county level. Polk County has 327 landscaping services, 251 residential remodelers and 59 roofing contractors, which is 1.24 times the typical county's density, and nearly all of these firms are small. In a market where homes are going up, those categories get the most new-homeowner searches, so a small advertiser should pick one service, one set of subdivisions and one page that proves the claim, not bid on the general category.
What the plan emphasizes
The first month after move-in
Short campaigns near The Lakes District and Lake Mariana Reserve promote first-visit offers to households that arrived recently. Location targets stay on the new streets, and the report shows which subdivisions produce calls.
Lake Myrtle event pacing
Food, lodging, urgent care and repair ads rise before tournament weekends at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex and drop between events. Open-now text and a phone number let a coach with a van full of players decide in seconds.
Four neighbors, one drive
Because Auburndale borders Lakeland, Lake Alfred, Polk City and Winter Haven, locations are set by service area and ad text names streets such as Dairy Road, not just cities. Exclusions keep budget from leaking into neighboring cities you do not serve.
Along the Polk Parkway
Suppliers near Medline, Saddle Creek and the Coca-Cola Main Street plant run weekday ads timed to shifts, with a direct line and landing pages written for buyers. Negative keywords screen out household searches.
Standing out among builders
In Polk County, with 327 landscaping services and 251 remodelers, each trade gets its own campaign and landing page. Call tracking separates the estimate requests from curiosity clicks, so budget moves toward what turns into work.
More reach for new households
Bing Ads supplies another stream of search traffic, and Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) can introduce a business to the 23.1% of residents under 18 and their parents before the first search. All three share one tracking setup.
New homes, event weekends and an industrial corridor decide the order of work. The six pieces below fit a business near Downtown City Park as well as one beside the Polk Parkway.
Buyers and advertisers
Pay-per-click advertising for Auburndale companies starts with who buys. Retail trade employs 833 working residents (11.2%) and health care and social assistance 815 (11%), followed by accommodation and food services at 664 (9%), construction at 642 (8.7%), professional, scientific and technical services at 613 (8.3%) and education at 572 (7.7%). Construction ranking fourth fits a city with so many new subdivisions, and it implies that trades both sell to and employ these households. Advertisers in food and retail see most of their calls from nearby residents, not visitors.
The industrial belt draws workers and vendors. The Coca-Cola Main Street plant, about four blocks from City Hall, has expanded and added jobs, Medline runs a distribution center near Saddle Creek along the Polk Parkway, and Amazon announced in 2019 plans for a distribution center with 500 jobs, though completion was not confirmed. SunTrax, a $42 million testing facility, adds business visitors. For a lunch spot, uniform supplier or tire shop, a campaign aimed at shift hours near those sites can run apart from the household campaigns.
Tournament tourism is the third buyer group. Lake Myrtle Sports Complex tourism covers a $4 million soccer stadium under construction in 2022 and a collegiate baseball tournament billed as the nation's largest, so visiting teams need food, lodging, medical care and repairs on short notice. Southern Technical College adds a small student audience. A business that wants those visitors should keep a ready weekend campaign with open-now ad text and a phone number, and a budget that turns off after the final game.
Who lives and works here
The mix of jobs hints at who your customers are. Here is how employed Auburndale residents are spread across industries, from the Census Bureau's American Community Survey.
| Industry | Employed residents | Share of workers |
|---|---|---|
| Retail trade | 833 | 11.2% |
| Health care and social assistance | 815 | 11% |
| Accommodation and food services | 664 | 9% |
| Construction | 642 | 8.7% |
| Professional, scientific and technical services | 613 | 8.3% |
| Education | 572 | 7.7% |
Data: U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 5-year estimates (2018-2022), employed civilians aged 16 and over. Industries are where residents work, which may be outside the city.
Your competition
The Census Bureau publishes business counts by county, so these are Polk County figures that include Auburndale and its neighbors. For each category we divide employer locations by population and compare the result with the median U.S. county: a reading of 2.0x means twice as many locations per resident as a typical county.

Where campaigns focus
Auburndale has four distinct kinds of ground: a small downtown, lakes and sports fields, a ring of new subdivisions and an industrial corridor. The nine places below, from Downtown City Park to SunTrax, drawn from our research, would guide radius settings and the pages behind each campaign.
| Area | Why it matters for search |
|---|---|
| Downtown City Park | The central park beside the Historic Depot and a bandstand used for events gives food and shop ads a landmark and a small walking radius. |
| Lake Ariana | A fishing and boating lake with ramps and piers, where Mac's Beach is being redesigned, so marine, bait and snack ads can use a lakeside radius. |
| Lake Myrtle Sports Complex | Nine baseball diamonds and ten soccer fields host tournaments that draw out-of-town teams, so food, lodging and repair ads can switch on for event weekends. |
| The Lakes District | A master-planned area in north Auburndale with trails and village centers, suited to move-in campaigns and neighborhood-level targeting. |
| Lake Mariana Reserve | A gated subdivision on Dairy Road, with homes from roughly $215,000, where service ads name the community and explain how visits work. |
| Lake Mattie Preserve | A 229-acre development planned for 824 homes off State Road 559, which will need contractor, lawn and pest campaigns as it fills. |
| Camp Margaritaville RV Resort | An RV resort with space for 280 RVs beside the water-ski cable park, where short-stay visitors search for food, repairs and laundry. |
| Polk Parkway and I-4 industrial belt | Medline, Saddle Creek and a 464,400-square-foot e-commerce and logistics building approved in 2022 suggest weekday campaigns for suppliers, staffing and vehicle services. |
| SunTrax | A 475-acre testing facility along the Polk Parkway with a 2.25-mile oval track, a landmark for directions-style ad text and business searches nearby. |
Areas named from public sources (city, county and regional organizations). Boundaries are informal; people search by the names they use.

More than Google
Google search
Show up at the top of Google for the searches Wake County customers make. You pay per click.
Facebook and Instagram
Campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, managed in Meta's ad platform, that reach Wake County residents before they start searching.
Microsoft Ads
Bing, Microsoft Edge and Microsoft's partner network give you a second search audience.
Many names, one service
Paid ads, PPC, pay-per-click, Google Ads, Facebook ads, Instagram ads: it is one service, you pay per click, and we run it for Wake County businesses on a flat plan.
Google Ads typically goes first because people searching are ready to act; Facebook, Instagram and Bing come next. Whatever mix you choose, one account manager handles it all.
The process
We set up your campaign with the groundwork done properly: pages built to turn clicks into calls, keywords, ads, ad extensions and tracking for calls, forms and sales, aimed at the areas of Auburndale you want to reach.
After launch we review the account often and tune it, adding negative keywords to block poor-fit searches, reworking bids and improving lead quality.
We focus on the high-performing ad groups and test wider keyword sets, so calls and leads keep building.
Your account manager walks you through a monthly report, and we bring down your monthly management fee as your account grows, which lifts your return.

Questions we hear
Pricing is a flat monthly management fee with nothing to sign: $895 for one platform, $1,595 for two and $2,295 for three. Ad spend is separate and goes straight to Google, Bing or Meta, and we set it with you from your own numbers, not a rule of thumb. See the plan details on this page, or view full pricing.
Urgent services near Lake Mariana Reserve can see calls on the day a campaign launches, while planned work such as a remodel may take two to four weeks of testing terms and pages. No lead count is promised. The monthly report lists calls, forms and the searches behind them, and the plan shifts toward what those numbers show.
A customer's lifetime value, how many inquiries close and how many guests a weekend can handle. A restaurant near the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex needs less on quiet weekends than on tournament ones, so budgets follow the schedule. Dollar figures are set with you, and the report shows which weekends brought calls.
Google Ads catches a household at the moment of need, such as a leaking pipe in a new build. Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) can show a welcome offer to families nearby before they search, which suits lawn care and pest control in The Lakes District. Most accounts start on Google and add Meta once call tracking shows results.
It can. Every city gets its own campaign, location target and landing page, so a business along the Polk Parkway and I-4 industrial belt can reach Winter Haven, Lakeland and Haines City without paying for clicks from places it will not visit.
Use a small radius around Lake Ariana and show hours, location and what a rental includes. Ads can run most heavily when people plan outings, and Mac's Beach, which is being redesigned, may shift where visitors go. Because plans there may change, keep landing pages general and check the report each month.
Paid search in Auburndale reaches travelers who type a place name and a need, such as lodging near Camp Margaritaville RV Resort on a tournament weekend. Landing pages should state dates, rates and parking in the first screen. With space for 280 RVs next door, campaigns also need negatives for other cities' campgrounds.
It can be, with discipline. Employers at Medline, Saddle Creek and the planned logistics buildings recruit through staffing firms, so searches arrive on weekdays. Campaigns aim at business buyers, show certifications and a direct number, and use negative keywords to block job-seeker searches that do not fit a client offer.
As a test, yes. About 12.3% of residents speak Spanish at home, close to the typical Florida city, so the first priority is English campaigns. A Spanish ad group with its own landing page for medical, legal or repair services shows whether those calls justify more budget.
ChatGPT now shows sponsored ads to some users on its free and lower-priced plans, and OpenAI offers businesses a self-serve ad manager. Targeting is limited to country or topic rather than keywords and measurement is still maturing, so we see it as a test, not a foundation. Google Ads is still where most businesses should start. Talk to us if you want to know whether a small test is worth it.
